THE BRAIN INJURY ASSOCIATION

The Brain Injury Association ("BIA"), is a U.S. organization, which includes affiliated organizations in most of the 50 states. The BIA's primary mission is fourfold - to improve the quality of life for people with brain injury and their family members by: 1) serving as a clearinghouse of community service information and resources; 2) participating in legislative advocacy; 3) facilitating prevention awareness; and 4) hosting professional programs. Our group operates in an art therapy mode (to help improve motor skills, and promote reaclamating them back into society) my wifes idea, as she had and continues to have some of these same probs. We have seen that other tbi people feel more compassion for those newly affected with a tbi and therefore every one involved (volunteers) have some type of tbi. And it works well!!
